Uberlandia, Brazil, August 1, 2019 – In front of full-packed crowd, Brazil beat Cameroon in straight sets on Thursday, with Gabi leading her squad with 15 points.
Brazil player Gabi Guimaraes: “It’s important to us to start on a high note. We had some good moments, but others were not so good. We need to pay attention in our reception as this is a point where we know we need to be in our best shape.”
Cameroon player Stephanie Fotso Mogoung: “It was a complicated match, Brazil is a great team. We gave our best but it wasn’t enough to beat the Brazilians. The gym was very full and this was a bit more difficult for us.”
