Belgium’s Britt Herbots: “Just an incredible win here against Turkey in Ankara with this crowd, I have an amazing feeling. We fought for every ball until the end during the match and we won the game, it’s incredible. We’re playing good in this tournament after five weeks, we are enjoying playing. I’m proud of the team and thank you who support us during the whole tournament.”
Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: “I am really happy, we couldn’t expect this. Turkey played great in front of their crowd. I am very happy to be the coach of this team because I know how they work and how hard they train. It was a fighting game and both teams deserved to win but we won and I am very happy.”
Turkey captain Meryem Boz: “First of all, congratulations to Belgium. We actually played a good match but lost to them. We can try and correct our mistakes in the next matches.”
