Ankara, Turkey, May 28, 2019 – Germany claimed a resounding victory against Russia as the two teams returned to action for week 2 of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Tuesday in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Germany player Hanna Orthmann: “Today it was our first match in here, we have been working for a long time, so we’re happy to finally win a game after the first week of Volleyball Nations League. We sometimes made mistakes and had ups and downs during the match. I hope that we can continue this way.”

Russia captain Ekaterina Efimova: “The result wasn’t what we wanted, we gave away too much especially in the second set. I hope that we will play better in our next matches.”
