Ankara, Turkey, May 30, 2019 – Turkey claimed their fifth win of the competition by beating Russia 3-0 on Thursday in week 2 of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Turkey player Simge Aköz: “We’re happy that we won the match. We knew that the Russian players got physically better than us but we played a good match.”
Turkey coach Giovanni Guidetti: “We played very well and won the match and now we will focus on the next round of the Volleyball Nations League.”
Russia player Angelina Lazarenko: “Congrats to them. They played better than us.”
Russia coach Alexander Krasilnikov: “Congrats to Turkey, they played a good match, they were very good in attack and defence.”
