Apeldoorn, Netherlands, May 30, 2019 – Marrit Jasper reflected on a successful match for the Netherlands against Bulgaria, winning 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-19), as they prepare to take on Poland on Thursday.
Marrit Jasper, top scorer of the Netherlands: “This felt like a long game to play, and in the end we can be very happy with the result. Bulgaria fought really hard for every ball today, so we had to do the same. I’m positively surprised how well the new players are performing in the team. Tomorrow’s match against Poland will be hard. They have a very strong opposite and tall middle blockers, we will have to outsmart them and fight as hard as we did today.”
